Patients

Approach

As a physician, my primary role is to truly listen, understand each patient’s story, and get to the root of the problem. Many people walk into a doctor’s office wondering, Will they believe me? Will they take this seriously? My goal is to create a space where patients feel seen and heard. By listening closely – both to the patient and to what the body is telling us – I gather information that guides a personalized health plan.

That plan may involve exploring how the body is being nourished, assessing sleep quality and movement patterns, or identifying underlying conditions that contribute to symptoms. I typically incorporate Osteopathic Manual Medicine (OMM) to support structural alignment and improve how the body functions as a whole.

I'm here as a consultant, someone with the training and experience to help patients problem-solve and take meaningful steps toward better health. If I’m not able to identify the root cause, I will guide you to another professional who can.

While I am trained as a Family Physician, my role in this practice is specialized, and I do not serve as a Primary Care Provider (PCP). Instead, I offer focused support for patients seeking a more integrative approach to care.

What conditions can we treat with Osteopathic Manual Medicine (OMM)?

The goals of OMM include restoring optimal structural alignment, enhancing circulation and lymphatic flow, supporting nervous system balance, reducing pain and improving range of motion. Given these benefits, OMM can help with numerous medical conditions.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Before your appointment, please log into the patient portal to complete intake forms—this includes your account details, the new patient questionnaires and consent forms. Allow about 20 minutes to complete.

If you have any recent imaging (like X-rays or MRIs), lab results, or notes from other providers, please upload them or bring copies with you.

On the day of your visit, wear comfortable clothing. We’ll review your health history, complete an exam, create an initial plan and begin your first Osteopathic Manual Medicine (OMM) treatment.

Many patients describe feeling relaxed both during and after treatment. You’ll also receive simple aftercare instructions to support your healing.

After Your Visit

Avoid vigorous activity for 48 hours. A gentle walk is ok, but refrain from heavy lifting, pushing/pulling, cleaning, or working out for 48 hours. Your body needs time to integrate the changes made during the treatment.

It is also important to drink plenty of water–more than usual, even if you are typically well-hydrated. Occasionally, some patients may experience mild soreness for 1-2 days afterward. Drinking a lot of water helps with this.

Osteopathic treatment continues working on your body after you leave the office. The process begins on the treatment table, but the effect continues long after you leave the clinic. If possible, please schedule any other treatments, including massage, acupuncture, physical therapy, or chiropractor at least 2-3 days after your osteopathic appointment to allow your system adequate time to fully respond to each treatment before the next is introduced.

My Approach

"Dr. Haas made an immense impact for my family through her whole-person approach to osteopathic family care. She helped reduce my number of headaches, manage pain during pregnancy and with my postpartum recovery. Dr. Haas also helped my children’s comfort with chronic conditions and misalignment to support their developmental milestones. I don’t know what I would have done without her care!"

Insurance & Payment

Dr. Haas is an out-of-network provider, does not have contracts with any insurance companies and doesn’t bill insurance directly. After your visit, we’ll provide a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on your specific plan. Some patients receive partial or full reimbursement, while others may have the cost applied toward their deductible. We recommend checking with your insurance provider about your out-of-network benefits.

For Medicare patients: Dr. Haas has opted out of Medicare, but you may be able to submit the superbill to your secondary insurance for potential reimbursement.

We respectfully require that all services be paid in full at the time of your appointment.
